What is coaching at Nairveda?
Coaching at Nairveda is a collaborative and practical process that supports clarity, self-awareness, and intentional action. It is a partnership with roles and accountability to achieve agreed outcomes. It’s not about being told what to do, but about creating space to reflect, challenge assumptions, and develop new ways of sustainably responding to work and life challenges.
What approaches do you use?
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Coaching at Nairveda is tailored to the individual and their context. I draw on a range of evidence-based, humanistic, and brain-informed approaches, and use practical tools and inventories where they add value.
Do you use assessments or tools?
Yes. I use a variety of inventories and tools (such as values, communication, or leadership frameworks) when they’re relevant. These are used to support insight and reflection — not to label or box people in.
How do you decide which approach to use?
Context matters. I take time to understand your role, environment, challenges, and goals before selecting an approach. This ensures the coaching is relevant, respectful, and suited to your specific situation.
What outcomes can I expect?
Clients often report greater clarity, improved communication, increased confidence, and better emotional regulation — especially in complex or high-pressure situations.
Who is coaching for at Nairveda?
Coaching can support:
Leaders, managers and business owners
Professionals navigating stress, change, or conflict
Individuals seeking clarity, confidence, or direction
People wanting to strengthen communication, boundaries, or self-leadership
Coaching may be short-term and focused or longer-term and developmental, depending on your needs.

What coaching options do you provide?
Nairveda offers context-sensitive coaching designed to meet people where they are. Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, coaching options range from ad-hoc support through to longer-term developmental partnerships.
Ad-hoc coaching (hourly)
This option is ideal if you’re navigating a specific issue, decision, or challenge and want focused support. Sessions are booked as needed and tailored to what’s most relevant in the moment.
6-session coaching package
This structured option includes:
One complimentary discovery session to understand your context, goals, and challenges
Personality inventory and values assessments to support insight and direction
Six coaching sessions focused on clarity, skill-building, and practical application
This option suits people who want momentum and structure without committing to a long-term program.
Long-term coaching programs (6 or 12 months)
For those seeking deeper development, leadership growth, or sustained change, Nairveda offers ongoing coaching partnerships over six or twelve months. These programs provide:
Regular coaching sessions
Space for reflection, experimentation, and integration
Ongoing adjustment of focus as your context evolves
Long-term coaching is particularly well suited to leadership roles, complex work environments, or periods of transition.
Across all options, the coaching approach remains flexible, reflective, and responsive — using tools and frameworks where helpful, and always adapting to your specific context and needs.
What is couples coaching?
Couples coaching at Nairveda offers individualised, goal-focused support to help partners strengthen their relationship and navigate challenges together. It’s designed for couples who want to be more intentional about how they communicate, relate, and grow — not just when things feel difficult, but also to sustain what’s already working well.
Couples coaching isn’t about diagnosing problems or revisiting the past in depth. Instead, it focuses on clarity, awareness, and practical change, helping couples understand patterns, respond more skillfully under pressure, and build habits that support connection and resilience.
At Nairveda, couples coaching is tailored to your unique context — your values, life stage, stressors, and goals as a partnership. Drawing on evidence-informed frameworks, reflective dialogue, and practical tools, the coaching process supports couples to strengthen trust, improve communication, and move forward with greater alignment and confidence.
Your relationship is worth investing in — not because it’s broken, but because it matters.
What is a couples marathon?
Marathon Therapy is a dynamic alternative to traditional weekly or fortnightly couples counselling. A Marathon is especially suitable for couples who don’t live near a trained Gottman Therapist, those who have hectic schedules, or couples who require immediate, intensive help to move through a particularly rocky patch. Preliminary research on Marathon Therapy shows that Marathons can help to quickly reduce distress, resolve specific conflict issues, and increase a sense of closeness and intimacy, leading to a stronger, more resilient and more satisfying relationship (Gottman & Gottman, 2015).
How much time is involved?
Before a Marathon, each partner will complete a comprehensive 2-hour online survey called the Gottman Relationship Health Checkup. This assessment allows your therapist to rapidly develop an understanding of your relationship and pinpoint specific needs in your relationship, and to design your Marathon accordingly.
Before we meet with you, we also give you an individual background survey. This individual survey takes approximately 45 minutes.
Once both partners have completed both surveys, your therapist receives a report via the Gottman Institute with your results to give you feedback. We aim to book the Marathon therapy date(s) as soon as possible after the results are received.
The Marathon itself is condensed over two consecutive days of structured, evidence-based couples therapy with just you and your therapist. Each activity your therapist includes in your Marathon is based within the Gottman framework and has been subjected to rigorous testing and research. In this way, your individualised Marathon helps you move forward to a place of hope and reconnection.
What skills will we learn?
During your Marathon, you both work together to learn new skills to:
Transform relationship conflicts
Deepen your understanding of one another
Repair old hurts and resentments
Unearth the needs, values and life purpose you share
Strengthen your friendship
Spice up your intimacy
Marathon Couples Therapy has been demonstrated to have significant benefits for couples. In many cases, it has moved couples from thinking of ending their relationship to recommitting to it in new ways. Couples who have engaged in this process have reported that they were able to process a range of unresolved issues, ‘leave the baggage behind’ and go home with a renewed sense of commitment, closeness and hope for their future.
What can I expect with mediation?
Mediation is a structured, confidential process designed to help people resolve conflict in a constructive and respectful way. Your mediator does not take sides or decide outcomes. Instead, they support all parties to be heard, understood, and to work towards practical agreements.
While mediation can feel uncomfortable at times, your mediator’s role is to create a safe, supported environment, pace the conversation carefully, and help manage emotions as they arise.
The process usually includes:
Individual intake conversations to understand the situation, your concerns, and what you need to move forward
A joint mediation session, where the mediator guides respectful dialogue, helps clarify issues, and supports problem-solving
The development of clear, workable agreements focused on improving communication and working relationships
You can request breaks at any time, and you are never forced into agreements you don’t support. The focus is on clarity, repair, and sustainable outcomes. During the process, if you have questions at any stage, you are encouraged to speak directly with your mediator.
